Problem 1: Button and links stop working or you can't sign out The most usual problem we have on the site is when some of the buttons and links mysteriously stop working, people can't view their inbox, they can't delete things or they can't sign out. This is caused by old code scripts from the site being stored on your computer longer than they should be. Doing the following will usually fix it: In Internet Explorer go to the tools menu: Tools > Delete Browsing History > Temporary Internet Files > Delete files... In Mozilla Firefox go to the tools menu: Tools > Clear Private Data > Check "Cache" and "Offline Website Data" > Clear Private Data Now Problem 2: Can't post anything to the site, hangs and returns server errors Unfortunately this is a problem for some of our members in the UK from time to time. It isn't something that we can fix as it is caused by your internet service provider slowing down the site. It usually clears up by itself after a few days. If it's a real problem, contact us and we will give you instructions on what to say when you complain to your ISP. Problem 3: Can't log in to the chat We are still working a few bugs out of the chatroom at the moment, but the most common cause for not being able to access the chat is that you don't have the latest version of flash player installed on your computer. Download it here. If that doesn't work, let us know and we'll try to help. |
